A Historical Overview of October 6 Household Tools Factories A Tale of Struggle and Success The first founder of October 6 Factories (Magdy El-Sayed Ahmed Abdallah) 1947-2017 October 6 Household Tools Factories are among the oldest and largest factories specialized in the production of household utensils made of aluminum and stainless steel in Egypt. The journey of struggle began nearly 60 years ago by a self-made industrialist, Magdy El-Sayed Ahmed, with the first small industrial facility in the Al-Jamaleya area in 1969, which specialized in producing aluminum household utensils for the local market under the name of Al-Kaf Factory for Household Utensils. In 1973, with the victories of the October War, the founder decided to change the name to October 6 in pride and honor of the great victory. With the development of business and increased market confidence in our products, which led to increased demand for our products, a medium-sized household tools factory was established in the industrial area of Manshiyet Nasser in 1976. With our policy of opening new foreign markets for our products and increasing domestic and foreign demand, we worked to meet the growing market needs for our products. In 1981, we established the first industrial edifice in the industrial area of Abbassia, keeping pace with the latest developments in manufacturing, in order to double the production capacity to accommodate the current and future increase in demand for our products in the local market and foreign markets. In 1989, the second industrial edifice was established in the city of 10th of Ramadan, specializing in the production of tableware made of stainless steel 18/10, using the latest industrial technology available at that time. In 1995, a production line for hotel products specifically for use in hotels, hospitals, and guesthouses was added. In 1999, a production line for products tailored for the Gulf Arab countries was added, which suits the uses and nature of Arab hospitality and has gained admiration and acceptance from Gulf consumers. In 2008, the largest and most significant project began to build a large industrial edifice in the Al-Obour industrial area, which is a large industrial complex that contains the latest production lines for producing double-bottom cooking pots made of stainless steel 18-10, which compete in quality with global products. In 2018, production lines for non-stick cookware were added, using the latest production technologies and the best global materials, to elevate our products to international quality standards. All these experiences and this diversity in production have allowed us to open new markets for our diverse production in various Arab markets such as (UAE – Saudi Arabia – Bahrain – Qatar – Kuwait – Yemen and Iraq – Syria – Libya – and the Maghreb region and African countries (Ethiopia – Eritrea – Senegal – Ivory Coast – Zimbabwe – Zambia – Kenya – Uganda – Cameroon – Benin – Angola – South Africa – Botswana .................. We participated in specialized Egyptian exhibitions in North America – Europe as well as most of the Soviet Union countries.) Over the years, our group and its founder have received numerous certificates at both local and international levels, including the following: - 1- Egyptian Quality Mark 2- Obtaining ISO 9001 certificates 3- Obtaining ISO 14001 certificate 4- Obtaining ISO 45001 certificate Our group has also been awarded many local and international awards, including 1- International Public Opinion Award. 2- International Golden Knight Award 3- Medal from the Cooperative Production Union 4- Certificate from the Egyptian Products Exhibition for Export All this history that we are proud of and proud of its founder, and we continue to strive for more expansions and developments, still following the path of the group's founder in raising the name (Made in Egypt) to compete with global industries and preserve our history in leading the household tools industry in Egypt, the Middle East, and the world.
