Al-Barrak Group Company entered the glass business in the year 2005 AD, and the first steps were to establish its first factory in the industrial city in Al-Ahsa, with a pioneering start in the treatment of all glass formations such as: glass tempering, grinding, drilling, polishing, rinsing, sandblasting, as well as double glazing according to to customer requirements.
As part of our expansion plan, the second steps began with the establishment of a factory in Riyadh in the year 2007 AD, but this time a new production line was added, to produce curved glass as well as double insulated glass used in the glass facades of buildings.
And in the year 2008, the third factory was opened in the Qassim region to serve the northern parts of the Kingdom, and with this achievement achieved in this sector by Al-Barrak Group Company, the fourth factory was opened in Khamis Mushait in 2016, and later in the year 2017 the factory was opened Fifth in Jeddah.
All these factories are fully equipped with the latest machinery, equipment and machinery from international manufacturing companies and leaders in this specialty such as the Italian company Botero, the Austrian company Laisk, the Italian company Paviloni and the Chinese company North Glass, and at the same pace and by following the system of electronic examination and comprehensive inspection to control quality starting from Glass processing and up to the last steps of production, we can say that we have the highest possible and effective quality levels in manufacturing, and this in turn highlights our position in the field of glass manufacturing.
Work continues to pump more investments in order to develop our factories with the latest processing units to ensure that our glass has achieved the highest standard of the final product. Two new furnaces were installed in Al-Ahsa and Al-Qassim in 2020 and 2021, respectively.
In addition, we have added new production lines such as flat, curved and bulletproof high-security glass in the Riyadh factory in 2019.
In addition, our company is keen to adhere to international standards for quality measurement, so we succeeded in obtaining the Ballistic Testing Services Certificate of Close Focus (USA United States of America).
This has enabled us to maintain an excellent reputation with our clients for superior quality and variety of products and to develop a strong working relationship with a group of the country's top interior designers, architects and construction companies.
And because we are constantly aspiring to be one of the pioneers in the glass industry in the Kingdom, we have started in the current year 2022 construction work for the sixth and seventh factories in Al-Jouf and Al-Baha, respectively, in the industrial zone of the Modon Authority. Indeed, the advance payment has been paid to purchase the machinery and equipment of these two factories, and it is expected, God willing, that these two factories will start operating in the middle of the year 2023.
